Texas 180 Degrees Consulting allows for students to create a direct impact on their community by working with non-profits or social enterprise in the greater Austin area. Students are assigned to one social impact organization each semester and have the chance to make impact by working with these organizations to apply business knowledge to amplify their impact. Through Texas 180 Degrees consulting, students gain hands on experience working with clients on real-world social impact problems and allow them to make a change in our community.
Texas 180 Degrees Consulting allows students to develop consulting skills in two ways. First, students have the opportunity to work on a project with a client and make recommendations to the client over the course of the semester. Working with non-profits and social enterprises is a unique student consulting experience because these organizations often need the impact the most because of funding issues, and thus 180 Degrees Consulting is able to make deep impact in their organizations. Second, 180 Degrees Consulting Texas teaches an in-depth consulting curriculum that covers the basics of on-the-job work to recruiting tips and tricks. This allows our students to take their experience into the real world in internships, jobs, and more.
