CURE India International Trust

The Challenge

Clubfoot is a birth defect in which an infant’s foot is twisted out of shape or position. With over 150 children being born with clubfoot in India every day, treating clubfoot was critical. Clubfoot India Initiatives Trust (CIIT) emerged out of a pursuit to support families to treat clubfoot and inspire action to eradicate disabilities caused by clubfoot. CIIT is the largest organisation in India fighting for this cause. They aim to enlighten the public that clubfoot can be treated but can lead to a lifetime of disability if neglected. The following deliverables were decided upon: 1. Devising a fundraising strategy 2. Developing a strategy to increase the client’s brand awareness 3. Revamping the organisational structure 4. Formulating a plan of action aimed at reducing the dropout rates 5. Curating a module to train the volunteers of the organisation

The Solutions

The team scheduled several brainstorming sessions wherein each member actively participated in discussing the potential PoA that could be adopted to solve the verticals. For the fundraising strategy, we began researching the different ways in which the client could raise funds and deliberated on the pros and cons of each method and included a detailed methodology which the client could use. To increase the client’s brand awareness and to revamp the organisational structure, reports presented by the client were thoroughly studied and any faults or areas of inefficiencies were pointed out which were corrected in our report. The team devised creative ways in which the client could reach out to its target audience and achieve maximum awareness of its vision and objective. Lastly, the team conducted primary research to inquire about the reason for the high dropout rates in the program. Once, these reasons were identified, the team presented its findings in a comprehensive presentation along with the solutions. Additionally, the team curated an animated video in two languages (English and Hindi), which the client could use to educate its volunteers about the disease and the necessary steps that the family of the patient should take from the point of identification of the disease to the treatment plan. A run-down of the whole process was included in the two videos that were provided and dubbed by the members of the branch.
